Engine swaps are not uncommon in a car world. You often hear stories about people shoving the LS1 into the occasional Miata or 240SX. However, a owner of this YJ Jeep Wrangler decided to put the very different V8 into his car. The car’s stock 4.0-liter inline-six was ready to die, the owner swapped in a 1UZ V8 engine from a 1995 Lexus LS400. Well, the engine had over 200,000 miles on it and cost only $250. And for that amount of money, the owner got the 32-valve, double-overhead-cam V8 with 256 horsepower’ and 353 lb-ft of torque. Matt Farah bought the LS400 with almost a million miles, so we know that this engine can last for the while. However, getting the engine to work in the car required using the Toyota 4Runner Flywheel, Camaro clutch disc, and Jeep NP231 transfer case, and the 1967 Chevy SM420 4-speed.
