We are pretty sure that no one on the planet ever asked if the Leaf can drift – but that’s where the entertaining value kicks in. Strapping a pair of plastic tires is a solution for some silent oversteer action, thought Autocar, who visited the Anglesey circuit during the professional drifting race to play with the balance of the all-electric hatch. Nissan has recently revealed the upgraded 30kWh battery pack for the Leaf, increasing its maximum range to 250km. Along with a bigger battery pack, there’s also greater connectivity features for the occupants as well thanks to the introduction of a NissanConnect EV infotainment system. Even though going sideways is the very last thing anyone would think about the Nissan Leaf, and the car doesn’t like being driven like this, hooning a zero-emissions vehicle is always going to be fun in the weird kind of way.
