Pikes Peak International Hill Climb or PPIHC or better known as the The Race To the Clouds is basically an annual event inviting automobile and motorocycle drivers to climb to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado. The track measures 12.42 miles (19.99 km) over 156 turns, climbing 4,720 ft (1,440 m) from the start at Mile 7 on Pikes Peak Highway, to the finish at 14,110 ft (4,300 m). It is also considered as one of the oldest motorsport events in Western Hemisphere. In this video documentary, it features a story of two lucky drivers who miraculously survive after crashing in the so-called Devil’s Playground. Something went wrong with their engine along the way which pushes them off the road and fell several feet on the ground, crashing and wrecking almost every piece of their Mitsubishi Evo. Luckily, the two were heavily wearing protective gears which saved their lives!
