Senior Citizens Gain Back Some Independence
As we grow older our senses dwindle and we become a lot less capable to do average activities. Driving is usually among the activities that the elder community gets worse at as they age. Whether it is their vision, hearing, or body in general that limits them, many find it nearly impossible to get from point A to point B. Senior citizens besides teenagers are among the second largest age groups to cause of accidents on the road. Now many believe that with the rise of autonomous vehicles senior citizens will be able to get where they need to go without any worry or hassle to anyone else. In return this will provide them with boosted confidence and sense of independence. However, it is not only the older community that benefit from autonomous driving. For the first time in history, people with major disabilities will be able to get behind the wheel and transport themselves. Talk about incredible!
