Privateer Andy Winkler had a rough night of practice at the 2015 Detroit Supercross while attempting to qualify for the night show. He suffered two separate crashes, but the first crash is definitely one for the acrobatic ‘wreckord’ books. He came up short on one of the trademark Supercross triple jumps and cased the landing incredibly hard. The bike’s suspension attempts to soak up the impact, but rebounds ferociously, and sends him upside down with his hands still gripping the handlebars. It looked as if Winkler was practicing his freestyle motocross technique, but he definitely did not stick the landing. The only thing that stuck was the impact of his tailbone directly onto the bike’s foot peg. Ouch!
